Justin Baker: Rummaging through his basement in the winter of 1996 for an old guitar case Justin Baker discovered the guitar his mother purchased for his father decades prior. After a trip to the local music store for strings, his musical journey began. During his college years he befriended fellow musicians, created a band dubbed Ten Stories Tall, and played shows around the Mid-Atlantic. After graduation everyone went their separate ways, but Justin’s passion for writing and performing remained. During the Spring of 2013 Justin’s wife became pregnant with their first child. Wanting to do something special for his wife Justin picked up his guitar and started writing again, not long after he had a pile of songs on his hands. As luck would have it, in the Fall of 2019 Justin’s college friend and bass player moved to North Carolina and built a studio. Justin traveled to JEm Yard Studios and recorded a total of 11 songs that later became the album Buyer’s Remorse. In the Fall of 2022 Justin got back into the Baltimore music scene and met Tony Correlli, a local musician, songwriter, producer, and studio owner. In November of 2022 he started tracking a new batch of songs with Tony at Deep End Studio. After working with a team of talented, local musicians and singers, Justin finished recording his second album Ornamental Monsters in the Fall of 2023.
