There are many ways you can support the Chesapeake Art Center in fulfilling our mission. If you are a patron of the arts and want to give back to your creative community, please consider one of the following ways that YOU can make an impact.

 

Become a Member

Our members play a vital role in supporting the highest quality theatre, dance, concerts, family shows, and educational programs. With a variety of membership levels, we have something for everyone. If you are not already a member, now is the perfect time to join!

As a CAC member you will enjoy:

  • Up to 20% discount on all classes and workshops.

  • Invitations to VIP receptions, exhibits, and events.

  • Early mailings of CAC catalog, event programs, and electronic newsletters.

  • Weekly electronic newsletter.

  • Early Bird seating for CAC-sponsored performances (just show your membership card at the door.)

Volunteer

CAC is seeking volunteers who reflect and represent our diverse community and are enthusiastic about supporting our mission to bring the arts to all audiences. We have an array of volunteer opportunities throughout the year to help CAC carry out our mission and programs. We welcome individual volunteers or volunteer groups who want to share their time and talents with our community. The time commitment varies with each volunteer role and all are flexible based on your availability.

  • Volunteers must be 18 years or older, but individuals who are 16-17 years of age may volunteer with a parent or guardian’s permission. All volunteers must complete a CAC application, consent to a background check to be considered, and undergo training for their volunteer role.

    • serve as ushers for performances in our theaters

    • provide administrative support in our offices

    • represent CAC at community events

    • assist with special events and gallery exhibits

    • assist students of all ages in our classes and MakerSpace

    • Friendly work environment

    • Meet new people

    • See performances for free

    • Satisfaction of supporting your local arts center

    • A complimentary one-year family membership after completing ten volunteer hours

CAC’s corporate partners provide vital funding that supports every aspect of CAC’s mission to use the arts to excite, educate, engage, inspire and grow this community’s people, artists, and the region through performances, exhibitions, classes, and collaborations with artists, educators, business and community leaders and organizations.
