Arts All Day will enable students from Title I Elementary Schools in Anne Arundel County to experience an immersive arts day during an all-day field trip to Chesapeake Arts Center. During Arts All Day, students will attend a morning theatre production at CAC, eat lunch at CAC (brought by students), and then participate in four hands-on arts activity rotations (using the theme of the theatre production for inspiration) in ceramics, dance, drama, visual arts, and/or our MakerSpace throughout the afternoon. These arts activities will focus on themes ranging from self-expression and self-esteem to collaboration and empowerment.
About the Friendlier Fables and Thoughtful Tales production: Building Better People Productions (BBPP), a professional theater offering positive live shows and classes for kids and families (and 3-time Chesapeake Family Life Magazine Favorite), is proud to bring back their world premiere play, Friendlier Fables and Thoughtful Tales. Featuring stories by Ricardo Rivera, Rissa Miller, and Lynne Streeter Childress, BBPP’s Founding Artistic Director, it’sa collection of some of your favorite tales with kinder twists. Cheer on friends like our not-so-ugly duckling and a boy who cries wolf for reasons you might not expect as they learn to respect themselves and others in a funny, touching, engaging show for all ages!
