Spreading the Creativity
The Chesapeake Arts Center is celebrating 20 years of building community through creativity. This holiday season we wanted to give back to our community.
Our MakerSpace manager and staff put together 156 homemade wooden ornament art kits for the students at Ruth Parker Eason school located in Millersville, Maryland. This was possible from the CAC receiving a grant from the Chaney Enterprises Foundation to be able to provide and create art kits during the pandemic. "This school is very special to our center and community. The staff wanted to give them a fun activity to create during holiday break. says Artistic Director Nicole Caracia. "Before the pandemic we would have students from Ruth Parker Eason come to the center for art programs and performances. We can't wait until we can bring them back again to continue our partnership".
