When it comes to helping students see their best selves; Shawn digs deep beyond the surface of these young people, and searches for their untapped skills and talents. She is intentional and she is purposeful in her hope and belief in young people, No Exceptions! Her work in schools and with teachers is important to Dr. Ashworth. She loves to stay in the trenches, providing support in shifting the mindsets of others, so that ALL students have an opportunity to excel beyond their wildest dreams.
Dr. Ashworth has been an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., for over twenty-five years, and currently serves as President of North Arundel County Alumnae Chapter.
