I’ve been an artist for around 8 years now and actually got my start at the Chesapeake Arts Center. There I was able to showcase dozens of works which helped boost my name and talent in my hometown allowing me to win awards and be published my multiple newspaper and online companies. Being retired, I find that this fills a void and keeps me busy, and I look forward to every day and how the next project will turn out. History of Program- Communities of Hope initiative began in Brooklyn Park, and has since expanded to Annapolis, West County and South County. The Idea to bring COH to Anne Arundel County came from a relationship that existed between Annie E Casey, A national foundation, Pam Brown and Carnitra White, DSS. It was decided to focus on Brooklyn Park, because that area of the county was severely under resourced and was experiencing some of the highest rates on negative impact in all the social determinants of Health.
