Dawn Owens

Dawn is a senior nursing executive who has been committed to leading, inspiring, and  advocating for nurses for over 20 years. She is currently serving as the Chief Nursing Officer and  VP of Patient Care Services at MedStar Harbor Hospital where she is responsible for the clinical  quality and safety of patient care delivered. Dawn’s passion is ensuring everyone has equal  access to healthcare and in strengthening relationships within the community she serves. As a  child, Dawn loved to sing and dance and believes that all children should have access to the arts. 

Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dillard University, and a Master of Business  Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Administration from the University of  Phoenix.
