Katie Crook

Mrs. Crook brings a rich background in engineering, fabrication and hands-on education to CAC.  She worked 16 years as Test and Integration Engineer for Northrop Grumman - among other defense contractors - where she earned her Masters of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Loyola.  She then left industry and began teaching high school Technology Education and Engineering for Perry Hall High School and Sollers Point Technical High Schools teaching hands-on skills based Engineering and Engineering Technician courses.  She currently teaches at Glen Burnie High School for the STEM/BMAH program where she is the Health Information Technology Pathway lead as well as part of the PLTW Engineering Program.  Katie has been a volunteer in the CAC Makerspace for the last two years where she has assisted in the creation, organization and coordination of its rich and varied activities.  She conducts the Family Workshops on Saturdays, many of the equipment safety training sessions and other classes and activities throughout the year. In her spare time she likes to do landscaping and home renovation/rehab.
