Hospice of the Chesapeake

Chesapeake Arts Center Presents:

Beauty in Maryland….and Beyond

with Photographer Susan Gallagher

at the Hospice of the Chesapeake

Exhibit runs July 6-August 9, 2018

Susan Feimer Gallagher has been around cameras all her life. Her father, Bill Feimer, was a crime lab photographer for the Baltimore City Police Department and did wedding photography on the side, and had his camera with him at all times even when he wasn’t working. When she was 11, Susan started accompanying her dad to weddings and was able to see him in action and try her hand as his second shooter. She took some photography courses in college but limited her camera work over the next several decades to chronicling her children as they grew up. About seven years ago she started looking through her viewfinder as an artist rather than as a mom, trying to capture some of the beauty in everyday life.

When she isn’t taking pictures, Susan spends her time enjoying her two-year old granddaughter and writing and managing grants at Anne Arundel Community College.

You can contact Susan at ambleside206@aol.com or 443-690-8671.

Free docent-led tours will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. July 20. For reservations, or to schedule a private tour for your group, contact Renate Little at rlittle@hospicechesapeake.org or 443-837-1512.
